The Portola Music Festival is set to return to Pier 80 in San Francisco on September 20th and 21st, 2025, for its third edition. Organizers have confirmed the dates, fueling excitement among electronic music fans following the festival’s successful debut in 2023 and its well-received second year in 2024. Produced by Another Planet Entertainment and Noise Pop, Portola has established itself as a premier West Coast destination for house, techno, and experimental electronic music.

While the 2024 lineup featured notable artists such as Peggy Gou, Skrillex, and Caribou, the 2025 roster remains under wraps. Organizers have promised an expanded and more immersive experience, building on the strengths of previous years. Improvements are planned to address logistical challenges, particularly with transportation. Another Planet Entertainment is working with the city of San Francisco and local transit authorities to enhance shuttle services, promote public transportation use, and streamline ride-sharing drop-offs and pickups.

Attendees can expect upgrades to sound systems across all stages, including the Marquee and Cobra, as well as increased focus on art installations and interactive experiences. Ticket information is forthcoming, with pre-sale registration currently open on the official Portola Festival website. General on-sale dates are expected to be announced in the coming months.

The festival’s continued success is contributing to the revitalization of the Pier 80 area and positioning San Francisco as a hub for electronic music culture. Organizers are committed to sustainability, expanding recycling programs, reducing single-use plastics, and partnering with local environmental organizations. With a growing fanbase and increasing anticipation, Portola 2025 is poised to be the biggest and best edition yet, attracting electronic music enthusiasts from around the world.
